leaders Sunderland RCA will be strongly tested when they face Newton Aycliffe at Meadow Park. The RCA went one point clear at the top after winning in midweek, but they will be missing midfielder Rob Briggs who is out for the season with a broken arm, while midfielder Anthony Cuthbertson is also missing because of injury.

Aycliffe, who are unbeaten in their last ten matches, add striker Warren Byrne to their squad after recovering from an injury that has kept him out of the team for three months.

The match of the day is between Whitley Bay and Spennymoor at Hillheads. Whitley, who are third, will be missing midfielder Damon Robson and defender Dave Coulson, while there are doubts over Michael McMullen, Callum Anderson and Chris Reid. Moors, who are two points behind Whitley, add defenders Leon Ryan and Kieron Edwards to their squad after being out on loan, while Anthony Peacock and Craig Ruddy also return to the squad. Striker Steve Richardson will have a fitness test.

Stokesley are still looking for that elusive first league win of the season, and they're at home to South Shields, who have slipped down the table to sixth bottom. Shields are without striker Peter Kane because of a groin injury.

Billingham Town are at home to Consett, having beaten them at Bedford Terrace in the Durham Challenge Cup already this season. Manager Carl Jarrett could keep the team that took on Gateshead in the Durham Challenge Cup in midweek.

Consett will be at full strength, with David Molloy, Lewis Teasdale and Dan Reeves all returning after being cuptied in midweek. David Brown will also return after recovering from injury Tow Law, who are second bottom, have a big away game at Guisborough, and manager Ian Davison welcomes back top scorer Marc Nixon, but midfielder Matty Scott is missing. Guisborough manager Chris Hardy, who recently won his 100th game in charge of the club, is missing Willie Boland, Tommy Marron and Joel Guy because of injury, while there are injury doubts over Mikey Roberts and Liam O'Sullivan. Paul Roddam and Billy Blackford return to the squad.

Marske United will have a much bigger squad to choose from for their home game with Billingham Synthonia, as in midweek manager Paul Burton had to put himself on the bench. Mark Taylor, Rob Jones and Anthony Ormerod are all still missing because of injury, but strikers Danny Brunskill and Benn Thompson, plus Andrew Ball returns. They have also signed their former winger Owen Dixon from Stokesley.

Shildon are at Newcastle Benfield, and manager Gary Forrest could make changes to the team after losing at Guisborough in midweek.

Third bottom Jarrow Roofing are at home to Ashington, and they will be missing former Newcastle and Darlington striker Paul Robinson, who is unavailable, while Dan Carson is unavailable. Defender Dave Anderson will have a fitness test. Ashington expect to be at full strength. Roofing only have seven league games remaining after today, fewer than all the clubs around them.

In the other game, Penrith are at home to Bedlington.
