Darlington RA scored three times in ten minutes in a powerful fightback and go second in Division Two tonight with a 3-1 home win over Crook Town.
The Ra started the game well and Steve Allison missed a good chance, but Crook took the lead midway through the half when Kevin Devine nodded down a right wing cross for Alex Marshall to sweep home from six yards.
The RA moved up a gear in the second half.
They leveleld when Louis Whensley flicked a low left wing cross past Marc riches from six yards, and then Crook defender Ben Riding spectacularly miscued his clearance from a Graham Whitehead corner straight into the roof of his own net.
And the outstanding James Evison made the game safe with a quality goal, playing two one-twos on his way into the box and and then firing the ball past Riches.
