Second Division Gillford Park have been given the all clear to finish the season on their home ground.

Gillford have been in dispute with their landlords all season, and it has only been thanks to the intervention of barrister Richard Bloomfield in recent weeks by gaining an injunction that they have successfully challenged their landlords’ stance and been able to play on their home ground.

A hearing at Carlisle County Court this morning ended with the judge stating that the Railway Club must put its case in writing and, if the case is not resolved between the parties, the matter will eventually have to return to court to be decided by a Judge, but that hearing would probably not be until next season.

Gillford Park chairman Donald Cameron said: “This should mean that we can play the rest of our games this season on our own ground. At times it seemed like this could never happen. The Committee has never given up and the players and supporters have been completely supportive throughout these troubled times. I have to thank the Management Committee of the Northern League for their patience, which we have finally been able to repay.”
