Second Division Gillford Park have been given a fortnight to resolve their ground problems.

The Cumbrians attended a Northern League management committee meeting on Thursday night to discuss the issues regarding their home ground -- they have yet to play on it this season and have played 15 away games -- and the league has delivered what appears to be an ultimatum.

League chairman Mike Amos said:" We've agreed to allow Gillford Park to ground share for the next two weeks while they provide further evidence of their attempts to resolve the situation and get back on the ground. It will be further considered at the league meeting on January 27. Gillford Park, it should be said, are sympathetic to claims for additional travelling costs from clubs who might have to go to Whitehaven. "

Gillford's next two games are on Saturday at home to Seaham Red Star, and on Tuesday night at home to league leaders Newton Aycliffe, both games having been moved to the Cumberland Academy ground in Copeland, Workington.

There is growing concern around the second division regarding the Gillford Park situation, and many clubs are worried about the condition of the facilities, floodlights and pitch at Copeland.
