Newton Aycliffe can move two points behind gameless Division Two leaders Guisborough if they beat Hebburn at Moore Lane.

However, they will be missing strikers Danny Mellanby and Warren Byrne, plus central defenders Paul Stout and John Close. Hebburn welcome back strikers Gary McCartney and David Tait, while they include new defender Chris Knowlson from Ryton.

Crook Town are hoping to beat Team Northumbria for the second time this season at the Millfield and stay in the top six. Liam Beeston, signed from Spennymoor, makes his debut, but Chris Baxter is missing.

Marske can move into the top half of the table if they defeat pointless bottom club Brandon at Mount Pleasant. Striker Rob Jones and midfielder Craig Mendum are missing because of injury, while another striker, Benn Thompson, will have a fitness test. Brandon include former Darlington striker Glen Robson, signed from Consett.

Northallerton who have done well in the cups so far this season but have flopped in the league, are at home to fourth placed Washington. Darren Mowbray and Steven Craggs both return for Northallerton, but Steve Allison and Wayne Hall are both missing. Washington will give midfielder Jamie Dawson a fitness test on a knee injury before the game.

Third placed Whickham are at home to Gillford Park, who are playing their tenth successive away game because of home ground problems. Reece Davison, Craig Tait, Sam McIntosh and Carl Pennington are all doubtful.

Two of the most improved teams in the division this season, Thornaby and Birtley, meet at Teesdale Park. Thornaby, who are eighth, welcome back defender Rob Pearson and midfielder Jonathan Lake, while Birtley are without top scorer Marty Roper, but striker Owen Peterson returns.

In the Durham Challenge Cup, Seaham Red Star are at Jarrow, and are without Dean Grayson, John Dobinson and Anthony Douthwaite all because of injury, but Kenneth Ball returns.
