Marske revived their ENL title chances by beating nine man Consett 2-1 at Mount Pleasant.

There were plenty of chances in the game, and Consett took the lead on 7 minutes when they broke away on the counter attack and scored through Michael Mackay, his 27th league goal of the season, and then Mackay put a penalty wide of the target after a foul by Glen Butterworth Marske replied with a penalty of their own, awarded when Michael Pearson was red carded for pulling down Sam Garvie, and Jamie Owens scored from the spot, his 21st league goal of the season. Marske then had more of the play, and at the start of the second half they were up against nine men when Mattie Slocombe was dismissed for a high challenge. Marske took advantage, and Danny Brunskill scored the winner on 53 minutes from a Butterworth cross.

Bishop Auckland lost 1-0 at home to West Allotment, who climbed up three places from fourth bottom.

Bishops missed some good chances early on through Jordan Lavery, Glen Lane and Andrew Johnson, before Marc Walton went narrowly close at the other end. Bishops Olly Hotchkiss curled a 25 yarder just over .

Bishops literally paid the penalty for those missed chances when defender Lewis Brown was penalized for a foul on David Henderson in the area, and Walton scored from the spot. Bishops nearly equalised, but Allotment keeper Ryan Beal pulled off an excellent save from Andy Johnson.

Third bottom Sunderland RCA picked up a good point in a 2-2 draw at Dunston UTS.

Dunston took the lead after 18 minutes with a deflected shot off RCA defender Andrew Brown by Dan Wilson and RCA missed a great chance to equalise when Colin Larkin broke through, but he blazed wide. But five minutes after half time Larkin was presented with a similar chance, and this time he kept his cool and beat Dunston keeper Luke Connell.

Dunston regained the lead on 57 minutes through a hotly disputed Dale Burrell penalty, but four minutes later James Armstrong levelled with a 25 yard free kick.

Whitley Bay added to the relegation worries of second bottom Celtic Nation when they won 6-1. Peter Watling (2), Alex Kempster 2, Robbie Bird and Scott Blandford got the goals.

In the second division, Washington moved into third with a good 2-0 home win over leaders Seaham Red Star, Chris Winn scoring both goals.
