Northallerton have appointed Steve Skinner as their new manager.
Skinner, a former pro at Carlisle, takes over from Peter Mulcaster who quit last month. He beat 16 other applicants for the job at the ENL second division club.
Northallerton chairman Peter Young said; “Stephen brings with him a wealth of experience as a player, manager and chairman of Celtic Nation. He has also played professionally.”
Danny Mellanby, who has been caretaker manager while the club looked for a permanent successor to Mulcaster, stays on as caretaker.
Skinner played as a pro at Carlisle, and then helped to form Gilford Park, which in turn became Celtic Nation. He severed his connections during the summer, and has played for West Auckland and Newton Aycliffe this season.
