ALEKSANDAR MITROVIC has flown into Newcastle ahead of a planned medical with the Magpies on Monday morning.
With Anderlecht having accepted a bid of around £12m, the Serbia international has flown into England to complete the formalities of his move to the Tyneside.
He will undergo a medical and finalise personal terms on Monday, with Newcastle officials confident of confirming his transfer within the next 24 hours.
Mitrovic will become the Magpies' second signing of the summer, following Georginio Wijnaldum, who agreed a £14.5m switch from PSV Eindhoven nine days ago.
Newcastle are also hoping to complete a deal for Mitrovic's Anderlecht team-mate, defender Chancel Mbemba.
With Newcastle only having one game of their American tour remaining, Mitrovic is not expected to travel to the United States and will instead meet his new team-mates when they return to England later in the week.
