FOOTBALL fans have been urged to give themselves plenty of time to get the Riverside Stadium tomorrow afternoon ahead of a crucial fixture in the Championship promotion race.

Fans of Middlesbrough and Millwall have been advised to set off early for the 5.30pm kick off if travelling by car.

One of the lanes on the A66 eastbound carriageway in Middlesbrough will be closed for repairs until further notice, following a coach crash earlier this week.

The driver, who was the only person on board the coach which was due to collect schoolchildren, was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough with leg and spine injuries after the crash.

Temporary barriers were installed, but the nearside eastbound lane will remain closed to traffic until permanent repairs to the safety barrier have been carried out.

Motorists can still leave the A66 at the turn offs for Cineworld or the A172.

The town is expected to be busier than usual due to people attending the Orange Pip Market.

Officers from Cleveland Police and British Transport Police will be on duty in the town to ensure the safety of members of the public and fans.

Millwall supporters attending the game are reminded that Spensley's bar on Albert Road is the designated pub for away fans.

A victory for Middlesbrough will see them a secure a place in the Championship play-offs - giving them a chance to secure a return to the Premier League at the first attempt following last season's relegation.
