MIDDLESBROUGH have announced their first pre-season friendly as they continue to prepare for life in the Premier League.
Aitor Karanka's side will travel to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa on Saturday, July 30.
Boro have also confirmed their intention to play "at least three more games" as part of their build-up for their return to the top-flight.
The Teessiders have not played at Villa Park since Tuncay Sanli scored both goals in a 2-1 win on the ground in November 2008, and they will be taking on a Villa side that suffered a horrendous time last term as they suffered relegation from the Premier League in bottom position.
Kick-off for July's friendly will be at 3pm, and ticket prices will be set at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.
