MIDDLESBROUGH (4-2-3-1):
6 Konstantopoulos: Made one memorable save to his right in the second half but otherwise had his defence to thank for a quiet afternoon;
6 Fredericks: After an early booking to worry about, he kept his head and performed well
8 Ayala: Somehow kept out Christansen’s low drive which had beaten Konstantopoulos at 1-0
7 Omeruo: The defence looks a much stronger unit when he is in it
6 Friend: Not as effective as he is known for on Teesside but still put the work in;
6 Leadbitter: Kept plugging away in the middle after being rested for the midweek draw with Blackpool
6 Clayton: Slightly better than his midfield partner in the centre and got through his work again;
8 ADOMAH: Had a part in the first, created more chances for others and scored the crucial second
6 Tomlin: Was on hand to tee up Reach for the opener but never really found top gear
8 Reach: Never stopped causing problems for the Fulham defence and got the goal his display deserved;
6 Kike: Might not have been at his best but still teed up the second for Adomah
Subs:
Vossen (for Tomlin 66): Tried hard to get his name on the scoresheet. 5
Nsue (for Reach 90)
(not used); Blackman (gk), Gibson, Williams, Whitehead, Wildshcut.
FULHAM (4-1-2-1-2): Bettinelli 5; Hoogland 4, Bodurov 6, BURN 7, Amorebieta 4 (Smith 78, 5); Parker 6; Christensen 6, Stafylidis 3 (Williams 59, 5); Ruiz 3 (Roberts 70, 6); McCormack 6, Rodallega 5. Subs: Kiraly, Woodrow, Hyndman, Kavanagh.
MAN OF THE MATCH: ALBERT Adomah – ran close by Reach but the Ghanaian showed why he has become such a key part of Boro’s system under Karanka.
