HARTLEPOOL UNITED'S sell-out home game with Wrexham on Saturday is not in doubt.

While the pitch has been covered in snow overnight, the playing surface has been covered and protected from frost.

Groundstaff and volunteers have worked this morning to move the thick layer of snow off the covers and no problems are anticipated.

The last remaining home tickets were sold out this morning. The club has tried to arrange with Cleveland Police for the Rink End to be segretated to allow more Pools supporters into the ground, but their requests have been rejected.

The squad is training at the Sports Domes in Seaton Carew today and manager Craig Harrison conducted his weekly press conference at Victoria Park. Sky Sports were also there to interview Pools legend Brian Honour ahead of the weekend.

The club is in a financial mess, with administration likely. Saturday's game will bring in welcome revenue and an on-line fund-raising campaign has raised over £50,000.

Staff have this morning been informed they will be paid next week, when wages are due.

Harrison will be without Jonathan Franks and Keith Watson on Saturday. Watson's loan deal and Franks' six-month contract is up and the club is unable to make signings during their current financial predicament.
