Hartlepool United boss Craig Hignett has been shortlisted for the Sky Bet League Two manager of the month award for March, with Jake Carroll up for the player award.

Hignett led Pools to 14 points from a possible 21 and he’s up against Darrell Clarke (Bristol Rovers, 18 points from 21), Paul Tisdale (Exeter, 12 from 18) and Darren Way (Yeovil, ten points from 15).

Carroll’s opposition are Jon-Joe O’Toole (Northampton), Kemar Roofe (Oxford) and Matty Taylor (Bristol Rovers).

The winners will be announced on Friday morning.

The judging panel comprises former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
