HARTLEPOOL UNITED earned their first home League Two win since August 18, as they powered past Leyton Orient.
Pools won 3-1 thanks to two goals from Jake Gray and a penalty from Kudos Oyenuga in a televised game.
Boss Ronnie Moore fielded four loaness – and all impressed in a much-improved display, with Sunderland's Mikael Mandron lively up front.
They trailed in a slow start, going down on 14 minutes. Adam Jackson was caught out in the penalty area and Pritchard turned in from close range.
But they levelled on 20 minutes. Defender Alan Dunne needlessly handled in the area and, from the penalty spot, Kudos Oyenuga confidently stroked in his second goal in as many games.
Pools keeper Trevor Carson made a fine one-handed stop to deny James from putting the Os back in front.
And on 63 minutes, he made another fine instinctive stop.
Pools went ahead on 71 minutes when Gray cut inside and fired at goal from 20 yards, his shot taking a deflection to wrong foot the keeper.
And they clinched victory when Kai Naismith, impressive on the flank after moving on loan from Portsmouth, played in the advancing Gray who confidently finished.
