HARTLEPOOL UNITED will travel to Salford City in the second round of the FA Cup.
Pools were paired with the club owned by the Manchester United Class of 92 in Monday evening’s televised draw.
Salford beat Notts County at home on Friday night in front of the BBC cameras, while Pools beat Cheltenham the following day.
The non-league club, promoted from the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One last season, winning the title at Darlington’s expense, are owned by a number of former Manchester United players – Gary and Phil Neville, Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes.
They include former Pools forward James Poole in their side, and he created the winning goal against Notts.
The tie is likely to be televised.
