WITH back to back home games in the space of five days, Ronnie Moore wants to see his Hartlepool United side make the most of their Victoria Park opportunities.

Pools won at Yeovil on Saturday, their first victory since seeing off Newport County at home in August – a run of five League Two games without a win.

Bristol Rovers are Pools this evening, before Luton visit on Saturday.

"I've said before it's as easy to win five games as it is to lose them,’’ said Moore. "You can get on a roll, and we need them, but there are two very hard games coming up.

"Bristol Rovers will be tough and I fancy Luton will win the league.

"If we can get six points from these two games I think we'll have done well."

"Bristol have lost 2-1 on Saturday but they were playing Portsmouth

"It will be tough, Bristol Rovers, and Luton are just starting to play a bit, it wouldn't surprise me if they win this league.

"It's nice to have the win to set up for two home games, it's important we don't waste this opportunity.’’

Tonight’s visitors are managed by Darrell Clarke, the former Pools midfielder who made 136 appearances from 2001-2006 after being signed form Mansfield for £75,000.

They also include ex-Pools striker Jermaine Easter in their ranks after being promoted to the Football League from the Conference last season.

They have not won in six and Clarke said: "We have lost five games in nine and that is disappointing. Some of the performances haven't warranted defeats. We need to win some football matches.

"It is too early to say there is a problem, but we do need to show some strength of character to turn it around because we are all under pressure to win football matches."

With Michael Woods suspended this evening after picking up his fifth booking of the season, Brad Walker, who scored the winning goal at Yeovil is in line for a start.

He has been a spectator for most of this season after being injured days before the campaign started.

Carl Magnay is available this evening after suspension, and Walker said: “I was flying in pre-season and then the day before the season started I got injured and since then Woodsy, Maggers and Feathers have all done well.

“Every game we have played we have done well. At Yeovil it’s been a poor show and we won.

“It’s back home this week now, which is always good for us and hopefully a couple of wins can lift us up there

“People have been saying we’ve not been performing, but it’s been a case of things not falling for us – this time it’s fallen for us.’’
