RONNIE MOORE has made some of his Hartlepool United players available for transfer; but he’s not expecting much interest.

While he works against the grain to try and land new signings this month, the Pools boss is also looking to move on some of his squad.

Moore signed three loanees last week ahead of the game at Wycombe and is targeting at least two more, in the hope of getting them in to face Cheltenham at Victoria Park tomorrow.

He’s running out of time, however, as clubs wait to sign players before releasing any of their own and there’s also the current predicament Pools are in.

Moving to a club ten points short of safety in League Two doesn’t appeal and Moore admitted: “I have sent out a circular out to say we have players available. Let’s see what happens.

“I have said that to League Two and Conference, I don’t expect my phone to be red hot to be honest.

“I have put it out there just to see what the response is.

“This situation we are in, if you do not produce for us week in, week out, where do they think they are going to go at the end of the season - they are not going to Real Madrid from here.

“One may go to League One, possibly two but the rest of them - one or two of them might be working in Asda.

“There is half a season left, this is the time to roll your sleeves up and produce - enjoy being a professional footballer.’’

Moore was dumped by Tranmere at the end of last season after being charged with betting irregularities and spent time out of the game until Pools appointed him last month.

And he warned his players what could lie ahead for them.

“I was out of work for eight months, washing and hanging up the clothes, I was even going shopping and looking for the cheapest thing because I was unemployed,’’ he admitted. “Getting the own brands! These lads don’t have a clue what life is about.

“They go home at 1pm, get their feet up watch Home & Away.

“All we can try and do is wise them up, and I say to them don’t go shopping on Friday - let your missus do that.

“You get home and relax and come in here all guns blazing on the Saturday and don’t be ashamed after the game.

“Your family and kids are at the game, you want to go out and produce not leaving with a paper bag over your head.

“Get that winning mentality, which has been lacking.’’

Pools take on Cheltenham at Victoria Park tomorrow, with ticket prices again reduced by the club’s new owners TMH2014 Ltd.

Supporters can buy tickets for tomorrow and the next home game with Plymouth for £20 and Moore is desperate to engineer a first win for Pools since October 11.

“It is unbelievable how much you can kick on with one win in this league,’’ he said. “What we need is the belief that we are in the mire and games are going by and we need to start climbing up and getting wins.

“We need to come off and say we have won and others have lost, at the moment we are four wins away from catch-up.

“We have to say this is the time now, this is where we kick on and get that belief in.

“With the help of two more players in, we will see a different Hartlepool side.

“I can see with the three that have come in, their mentality is different and they want to keep the ball because they have been brought up the right way.”

And while Rakish Bingham, Aaron Tshibola and Scott Harrison made an impression last weekend, Moore admitted: “Last weekend I was happy with the attitude and it’s carried on. It was the best I felt as a group we had been – dressing room and on the pitch.

“It’s still not what we want, but the three new faces made us better as a team.

“There are no easy games, it’s about what we do and I said all along it’s the case. We need to play at a tempo and give the crowd something back.

“Basically this team isn’t good enough, or hasn’t been good enough. We brought three new players in and good players at that who will make us better.’’
