Middlesbrough are still without a victory in three pre-season fixtures after sharing a lively draw with Burnley.
The Teessiders opened their pre-season with a defeat to Schalke 04 3-0 and a 1-1 draw with Hertha Berlin in Austria last week. And Gareth Southgate's men repeated that 1-1 scoreline at Turf Moor this afternoon.
Boro threatened through out the opening period with new signing Tuncay Sanli looking dangerous.
But it was the Clarets who drew first blood when Andy Gray scrambled the ball home from close range a minute before half-time. The former Sunderland striker pounced after Joey Gudjonsson's initial shot was blocked, but
Michael Duff managed to flick a header in to Gray's path and he tapped home.
Boro equalised when James Morrison benefitted from some good approach play between Fabio Rochemback and Aygenbeni Yakubu.
The Brazilian midfielder swapped passes with the Nigerian 35 yards out before lifting the ball over the Burnley defence and Morrison did the rest when he rounded the goalkeeper in the 54th minute.
Meanwhile, Darlington's friendly at Gretna ended in a 2-0 defeat to the Scottish Premier League side.
