Joe Root's century was the highlight for Yorkshire in the morning session on day three of their LV=County Championship match with Northamptonshire.
Resuming on 98 not out, he passed three figures for the first time at Headingley off only the third ball of the day, before being ousted for 125 by Andrew Hall.
This was the only wicket the Tykes lost though, to reach lunch on 244 for four in reply to Northants first-innings total of 253 all out.
Jonny Bairstow was on 60 at the interval, with Gary Ballance unbeaten on 0.
