WARWICKSHIRE dominated an entertaining fourth afternoon to gain a first-innings lead of 64 over Yorkshire at Edgbaston.
The Bears advanced to 443-9 declared thanks to aggressive fifties for Rikki Clarke and Tim Ambrose.
They ensured 77 runs were scored in the first eleven overs of the afternoon.
Yorkshire took three more wickets this afternoon, with Adil Rashid finishing with 4-127 from 31 overs.
Clarke lofted Rashid for two straight sixes, including the second to reach 50.
He fell caught and bowled to Rashid trying to hit a third as the score fell to 387-7 in the 105th over.
Keith Barker was bowled by the same man with the score on 410 in the 111th before Patterson bowled Jeetan Patel.
Yorkshire missed out on a third bowling bonus point.
