NEWCASTLE UNITED winger Jonas Gutierrez has warned his team-mates they must not take a win against Norwich City for granted on Sunday

The Magpies have been frustrated in their last two home games, having let a two-goal lead slip in a draw against Wolves, before sharing the points in the Tyne-Wear derby with Sunderland.

Alan Pardew's men have targeted five wins from their final five home games as they look to maintain their push for a European place, but Gutierrez is wary of the unpredictable nature of the Premier League.

"We need a win against Norwich, of course we do," the Argentina winger said.

"But we know that all of the games are tough. We had two home games against Wolves and Sunderland and got two points. In the first game we were winning 2-0 and in the second game we were the only team that wanted to win that game in the second half.

"But they found that penalty and managed a draw. That shows how unpredictable the game can be."

Gutierrez also revealed his relief at Fabricio Coloccini signing a contract extension.

He said: "It is great news that our 'Capitano' will stay at Newcastle. I enjoy playing in the same team as him and of course even more because he is Argentinian.

"It is good to have Argentina at Newcastle once again."

Newcastle reserves were held to a goalless draw with Blackburn Rovers at Whitley Park yesterday.
