MICK WADSWORTH showed his frustration and despair after seeing his Hartlepool United side whacked once again at home.

Pools were beaten 4-0 by Carlisle on Tuesday night, the result the latest in a string of home losses this season.

They have now conceded five to Sheffield Wedensday, three to both Wigan and Exeter, two to Swindon and four to the Cumbrians.

And, with the club shrouded in some uncertainty following the August departures of both the director of sport, who was acting as manager, and chief executive, Wadsworth let his emotions show in the aftermath of the latest humbling.

Chairman Ken Hodcroft watched Tuesday's loss from the director's box. While he has a history of no rushing into making managerial appointments - there's been no first team manager since December 2008 after Chris Turner replaced Danny Wilson and Paul Stephenson took temporary charge for four months in 2006 - Wadsworth hinted he is looking for some answers.

"I think we need some decisions really, but that's up to the chairman. I cannot do it. I just carry on, that's all I can do,'' he reflected.

"Staff-wise we are a little bit thin. But if I'm asked if I want a member of staff or a player, I'll say a a player.

"Perhaps if I said to the chairman I needed a couple of loan players then I'm sure he would support it.

"I've a group of players I'm in charge of, I don't even think of next week, the week after because I can't.

"If I'm here next week then great, I hope I am, if not I'm ok with it - I'm too old and too wise to get worried about it. I've said this is a nice football club, and can do something this season, but home form is very very frustrating.''

Pools head for Plymouth on Friday morning before taking on Peter Reid's side and Wadsworth plans changes to his side.

But with injuries biting hard, his options are severely limited.

"We will have to think about it hard,'' he admitted. "I said last Saturday that if we hadn't won then I would have to think about changing the team around and that's something we will have to look at.

"But we are without a number of players and being hit by injuries. Sweens has a hamstring strain and is a big worry, he was probably our best player. Monkhouse and Colin Larkin in the first half can can hold their heads reasonably high.

"Sweeney missing gives us a problem, he is a key player and it's not easy for us."
