THE weather has interrupted proceedings at Headingley for a third day running, with just over 21 overs bowled on the final morning.
The students of Loughborough University have reached 103-2 from 47.5 overs at lunch, taken nearly an hour early due to rain and sleet.
Opener Will Tavare, the nephew of former England batsman Chris, was the only wicket to fall when he was trapped lbw by left-arm spinner David Wainwright for 49.
Tavare played a number of eye-catching shots in his patient 132-ball knock – a chip off the old block some might say.
He was dropped at long-leg by Ben Sanderson off the bowling of John Blain on 47, but fell in the next over to leave the score at 93-2 after 43 overs.
Wicketkeeper David Murphy has made his way to 33 not out, while Yorkshire Academy bowler Moin Ashraf impressed with figures of 0-19 from 12 overs, including six maidens.
