NEWCASTLE: Chris Hughton is poised to name an unchanged side from Monday night's promotion party against Sheffield United, but will be considering the trip to Reading on Tuesday night. Steven Taylor is Newcastle's only long term absentee with Fitz Hall expected to return to training on Monday following a hamstring injury. Peter Lovenkrands, Wayne Routledge and Danny Guthrie were all substituted during Monday night's 2-1 victory over Sheffield United but all three changes were made for tactical reasons.

BLACKPOOL: Boss Ian Blackwell could welcome back striker Brett Ormerod for the trip to St James' Park. Ormerod, who will wear a protective cast after undergoing surgery on a fractured bone in his hand, could go straight back into the starting line-up. Left-back Stephen Crainey, who feared his season could be over due to a knee injury, could also be handed a surprise recall if he passes a late fitness test. But the Seasiders will be without Algeria international Hameur Bouazza, who has suffered a recurrence of a groin injury.

It's a fact: Blackpool boss Ian Holloway netted at St James Park fourteen years ago this week for QPR but ended up on the losing side thanks to two goals from Peter Beardsley.
Comment by Steph Clark: Blackpool have been on a great run of form recently and could spring a surprise on the Magpies. However, Newcastle are determined to win the league and maintain their unbeaten home record.
Prediction: 2-1
