RORY Clegg, now with Harlequins, will be back alongside his former Barnard Castle School team-mate Tom Catterick in the England Under 20 team for tonight’s showdown with Scotland at Firhill in Glasgow (7pm).

Head coach Mark Mapletoft has made ten changes to the 22 following the 25-10 defeat against Ireland last month.

Former Newcastle fly half Clegg, 20, returns after kicking three penalties to clinch last weekend’s 14-11 win over Worcester Warriors.

Newcastle flanker Will Welch also returns from Premiership duty and will be on the bench.

After three years of trying to nail down a place in the Darlington Mowden Park centre, Martin Featherstone will be back on the ground tomorrow, playing at fly half for Middlesbrough.

It will be his third successive outing in the No 10 shirt following injuries to Simon O’Farrell and player-coach Paul Lee, who is fit again and will be on the bench.

Although they won 24-15 at Middlesbrough, Mowden are ten points behind their visitors in National Three North, but have two games in hand.

The defensive capabilities of Boro’s young wingers, Jack Bircham and Callum Campbell, are likely to be tested by Mowden’s powerful pairing of Robin Eatough and Ben Seru.

Westoe will be out to avenge a 46-5 defeat in November when they entertain Leicester Lions, while also hoping to erase the memory of last week’s 37-8 defeat at Bradford and Bingley.

Those are the two worst results of their first season in National Two North, with the mauling by the Lions being described by skipper Gareth Nesbit as a “total shambles”.

The loose head prop returns tomorrow after being unavailable for reasons other than injury for the first time last week since making his debut ten years ago.

He said: “It would be wrong of me to pass comment on the team’s performance because I wasn’t there, but it seems there was no question it was below par.

“The boys will be anxious to put that behind them. We have blown hot and cold this season, but it is time to get our game together consistently and move forward. And I would like to see that start against Leicester.”

Both teams are on 54 points with ten wins in 21 games, but the Lions have a superior points difference and won 45- 24 last week in their derby battle against Rugby Lions.

While Westoe’s other injuries have cleared up, a scan has revealed that Graeme Haswell has cruciate ligament damage. He suffered the injury in September and an attempted comeback seven weeks ago was shortlived.
