MONSIEUR Chevalier can book his ticket for Royal Ascot on what could be another good night for trainer Richard Hannon in the Weatherbys Bank Conditions Stakes at Windsor.

The Wiltshire handler is renowned for his legions of classy juveniles and this colt appears to be another out of the top drawer judged on his two wins to date. An easy fivelength scorer on his racecourse bow at Folkestone, Monsieur Chevalier took another step up the ladder with a further bloodless success at Newmarket last time.

Making a leap to conditions company, he hit the front over a furlong out and Richard Hughes did not have to get too serious to come home three and a half lengths clear.

Hannon rates him as possible Ascot material and although he has to concede weight, Monsieur Chevalier can bag this prize on the way to next month’s meeting.

The East Everleigh team should have been on the mark earlier on the card as Yer Woman is an obvious pick in the EBF Terry Doyle Retirement Maiden Fillies’ Stakes.

Second on her debut at Bath, the Kyllachy filly is entitled to improve for the experience.

Godolphin’s Silk Trail was limited to just one allweather outing as a juvenile but she should be good enough in the French Brothers Maiden Fillies’ Stakes on her return. A half-sister to five winners, including Middle Park scorer Lujain, Silk Trail showed signs of inexperience on her debut but was staying on well at the finish.

Expressive is worth watching as she makes her racecourse bow in Wolverhampton’s Dine In The Horizons Restaurant Maiden Stakes.

The filly is a half-sister to top-class milers Chic and Echelon but she obviously faces an uphill battle to hit the same kind of heights that pair did. Nevertheless, this daughter of Falbrav is bred to go a bit and Sir Michael Stoute can produce her well ready for the job. Luca Cumani’s Dice is the pick as he makes his handicap bow at Bath.

The three-year-old lines up in the bet365.com Handicap following two places in three starts at maiden level.

He made an encouraging beginning to the year when second at Folkestone and does not look too harshly treated.

Elusive Warrior has been knocking on the door in recent starts at Southwell but his time can come in the Better Prices, Bigger Wins At ladbrokes.com Handicap.

Given a break following a busy winter on the all-weather, Alan McCabe’s charge looked in need of the run when fading into fourth at this track last month. He should strip fitter for that effort and a 2lb drop in the weights will aid his cause.

Stellenbosch was denied by a head last time but compensation awaits in the newtonabbotracing.com Handicap Hurdle at the Devon venue.

■ Tom Tate sent out his first two year-old-winner of the season when Kylladdie came out on top under Micky Fenton in the Leyburn Maiden Stakes at Ripon.

The field split into two groups and, racing on the far side, the 7-2 scorer made all the running. Tate’s charge kept on well in the closing stages to hold the challenge of We’ll Deal Again, who came up the near side, by two and three-quarter lengths.

Tate said: ‘‘He is a grand, tough horse. I don’t usually run my horses so quickly (eight days after his debut), but he was very well and other people do it.

‘‘We have 24 two-year-olds – that is half my string – and there are some lovely, lovely ones among them, the best bunch I have ever had.’’ Meanwhile, David Evans has his team in good form and was on the mark again when Transfixed gained her second success from four starts in the Wooden Spoon Stirring Children’s Smiles Charity Selling Stakes.
