WITH Richard Barker likely to miss out tomorrow, Hartlepool United boss Danny Wilson will look to Joel Porter and James Brown to flourish again.

Pools take on long-term League One leaders Swansea City at Victoria Park. Barker suffered a hamstring strain in the Easter Monday win over Yeovil, but both Brown and Porter were on target in the 2-0 win.

Both now have 12 goals for the season, four behind top scorer Barker.

"They linked up well together the other day and they were able to go past the Yeovil defenders with their pace,'' said Wilson.

"We have players who are comfortable with the ball around their feet - James, Joel and David (Foley) are all like that - so it makes sense to keep the ball down and play it into them, rather than hitting balls up top.

"That's what you have to do with players like that - play to their strengths.

"We have looked good at home of late and even when you look back at away games, we have looked OK in games we have lost.

"You always look to improve and get bettern. We certainly can get tighter and, overall, there hasn't been a lot wrong all season, apart from the capacity to keep a clean sheet.

"But I think you have seen that we will always create chances and score goals and when we keep a clean sheet we will always win games.

"We don't have many 0-0s, that's for sure, because of the way we play.

"We want to finish this season as high as we can and let's see where that leads us. Let's get as many points as we can get, but I won't fiddle around with the team for the sake of it as it could cost us.

"Maybe right at the end if there is no chance of the play-offs it's a different story, but not right now.'' Former Pools keeper Dimi Konstantopoulos yesterday ruptured an Achilles during training with Nottingam Forest, the club he joined on loan this week.

Konstantopoulos is facing a lengthy spell out after suffering the injury at the end of his first training session with the club.
