SOUTH SHIELDS made light work of Cleethorpes Town to win the FA Vase final today at Wembley, a 4-0 victory completing the season in glorious style.
Goals by Carl Finnigan, Dillon Morse and David Foley (2) gave the Mariners a comfortable and fully-deserved victory and their fourth trophy of the season.
They have also won the Northern League and next season will compete in the Evo-Stik First Division (North), Step 4 in non-league.

Shields' victory continues the North-East dominance in the FA Vase. Since 2009 there have been eight wins by six different teams.
