MIDDLESBROUGH defender Ben Gibson has hailed as a "dream come true" the signing of a new five-year deal at the club.

The Teessider made his Premier League debut in the 1-1 draw with Stoke last weekend.

He has now made more than 100 appearances for the club.

“I’m over the moon,” the 23-year-old told the club's website, www.mfc.co.uk. “I just want to make sure the next five years are in the Premier League with this club.

“It’s a dream come true for me really and it’s amazing for me and my family.

“It’s an exciting time, and we’re all looking forward to Sunday’s game at Sunderland and hopefully picking up our first Premier League win.”
