HAYLEY Simmonds retained her British Cycling Championships Time Trial title with a hard-earned win in sweltering Stockton.
The Aerocoach rider saw off some stiff competition from the Podium Ambition duo of Claire Rose and Dame Sarah Storey to take gold.
Simmonds finished in 47:33.36, just short of 33 seconds ahead of Rose who finished in 48:06.32 with Storey clocking 48:12.47.
