Spennymoor need a victory to boost morale when they go to Droylsden today.
Moors slipped out of the play off positions last week when they were held at home by Trafford, and after the game, the club announced the departure of assistant manager Anth Smith.
“This is a game in which we need to come away with three points,” said manager Jason Ainsley.
“We have drawn far too many games this season, especially from winning positions, so we need to be positive from the start and show the level of performance which the players show in training every week.”
Carl Beasley has been appointed assistant manager for the rest of the season, and Ainsley said; “Carl has been associated with Spennymoor for a very long time like myself so I know what he will give in the remaining months of the season, and I felt at this stage it was the perfect fit for all parties.”
Moors will be without striker Gavin Cogdon because of a knee injury, while defender Chris Mason is unavailable.
Whitby hope to continue their climb away from trouble with at least a point at Ilkeston. Manager Chris Hardy will have a full squad.
Leaders Blyth are away at Hyde United.
