GATESHEAD conceded a stoppage-time equaliser as they were held to a 3-3 draw with Lincoln City that leaves them third in the Vanarama Conference table.

Alan Power fired Lincoln into an early lead with the first of what would eventually prove to be three successful spot-kicks in an action-packed game, but Gateshead levelled when Danny Wright scored with a penalty of his own after Rob Ramshaw had been fouled in the area.

Lincoln reclaimed their advantage when Delano Sam-Yorke scored from close range, but the Heed were level again as Alex Rodman drilled home from the edge of the box.

Gary Mills’ side forged ahead for the first time all evening when Matty Pattison headed home with nine minutes left, but Power converted his second penalty of the night in the first minute of stoppage-time to ensure the spoils were shared.
