Spennymoor bounced back from their defeat last weekend by winning 3-0 at Ossett Albion in the Doodson Sport League Cup tonight.
Both clubs drastically changed their line ups and fielded a number of reserves, so it was no surprise that there wasn’t much rhythm in the game.
The closest either side came to scoring was a strike by Ross Morrow that was just off target, and in the second half the youngster hit the post.
Nathan Fisher hit the bar, before the former Darlington striker broke through on 67 minutes when he scored in a goalmouth scramble, It stayed that way until two minutes from time when Fisher set up Peter Brown to score from ten yards, and then Fisher beat a defender and rounded the keeper for the third in stoppage time.
