KEVIN PIETERSEN has voiced his frustrations after England’s one-day international travails increased against India.

Pietersen has become the latest former England player to bemoan the selectors’ persistence with a team which has collapsed to a Royal London Series defeat with a match to spare.

By the estimation of their own coach Peter Moores, they will be “unfancied”

for the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand early next year, while captain Alastair Cook admits many see the notion of winning the tournament for the first time as “far-fetched”.

After India trounced England by nine wickets at Edgbaston yesterday, Pietersen appeared to agree about their prospects.

Naming no names - although Cook’s position has come into question with many - he Tweeted: “So let’s pick the same team for SL and for the triseries IN AUS & WC in Aus and lose.

“Then change after that! I cannot believe it!”
