TOKEN Of Love looked a filly with a future when she won on her debut last season and could be the star attraction on show at Doncaster in the Cash Out On The Betdaq + App Handicap.

Trained by William Haggas, the daughter of Cape Cross was not seen out until last October but she showed plenty of promise, cruising through the race before quickening clear to win cosily.

That was over seven furlong and this step up to a mile looks logical.

However, perhaps the biggest pointer to her claims is the fact that Haggas has entered her in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.

The Newmarket-based Yorkshireman is not one for tilting at windmills so if he even thinks she warrants an entry in that Group One, she must be going well on the gallops.

The other unbeaten runner, John Gosden’s Tanqeya, needed every yard of a mile last season so it is surprising to see him reappear at the same trip.

Clive Cox’s Lacan made a promising debut when second to GM Hopkins at Nottingham and granted normal improvement, he should take all the beating in the Betdaq No Premium Charge Maiden Stakes.

Cox is not really known for producing first-timeout winners, so the fact the New Approach colt was able to put up such a bold show on his first run bodes very well indeed.

He still holds an entry in the Derby so will have to win this with something in hand to head to Epsom.

There is Listed action at Windsor where Lincoln winner Ocean Tempest can land another decent prize for trainer John Ryan.

He followed up his win at Doncaster with another sound effort in the Spring Cup at Newbury off his new mark, but showed he had not stopped improving when beating Graphic in a strong Listed race at Ascot.

While he does have a 4lb penalty to carry for that victory, the unibet.co.uk Royal Windsor Stakes does not look as strong a contest and he has the beating of Fencing, who looks his most serious rival.

Stampede was spotted making late headway last time out at Lingfield and a mark of 74, while not obviously lenient on what he has done on paper, could underestimate him in the Happy Retirement In Brazil Michael Butlin Handicap.
