North-East duo Josef Craig and Nicole Lough have been named in the British squad for this summer's IPC Swimming World Championships in Montreal.
Craig, who won a gold medal at last summer's Paralympic Games and was the joint-winner of The Northern Echo's Local Heroes Awards, will compete in the 400m freestyle in Canada between August 12-18.
The Jarrow teenager was crowned British champion in the event earlier this month, and is targeting a new world record as well as a world title to accompany his Paralympic gold.
Lough, who is from South Shields and represents the City of Sunderland club, was a gold medallist at the UK School Games in 2011 and is gradually making her mark on the senior scene.
The youngster set a new personal best in the 200m freestyle at February's British Gas International Meet in Leeds and also impressed at this month's senior trials.
