Darlington's game with Shildon next midweek is under threat due to a pitch inspection in Berkshire today.

Shildon's quarter final FA Vase replay at Ascot United tomorrow is subject to a pitch inspection, which will be held at midday.

There has been heavy rain in Berkshire over the past two days and, as a precaution, the Hellenic League side have covered the pitch in some areas and will carry out an inspection before Shildon travel.

If the match is off, then it will be re-arranged for next Saturday, which could mean that Shildon's match at Darlington on Wednesday could be postponed - clubs participating in Vase games prefer to have a free midweek beforehand.

Instead of being idle tomorrow, the Northern League has agreed for Shildon to play an outstanding league game at Whitley Bay.

After beating Norton 6-1 at home on Wednesday, Darlington are at Heritage Park again tomorrow when they host Guisborough Town.

The game will be Quakers' first at Heritage Park on a Saturday since November 3, when they beat Whitley Bay 3-1.

It shall also provide an opportunity to avenge the 4-1 defeat Quakers suffered at Guisborough in September.

"We've just got to keep winning games," said manager, Martin Gray.

"We've got two more home games coming up and Saturday's is another big one so we'll have to make sure we stay focused.

"That was the first taste of defeat that we've had this season, at Guisborough, and it really hurt me that night.

"It's right at the front of my mind so it's a game that I'm looking forward to and so are the players, a chance to have a go at them again.

"We didn't perform on the night, but a lot of our team has changed since then."

Darlington are hosting a fans forum on Tuesday, March 12 at Darlington Rugby Club's Blackwell Meadows ground.

Answering questions will be operations director Laura Drew and CEO Martin Jesper.

Starting at 7.30pm, the bar will be open at 7pm.

Meanwhile, Darlington's shop has a small number of copies remaining of the DVD of their 3-1 win at Spennymoor Town last month.

The DVDs cost £5 and they include the full 90 minutes as well as reaction from both managers. For more information on the DVD, email:
