RAPIDOLYTE De Ladalka can knock off a third course-and-distance verdict in the Watt Fences Novices’ Chase at Catterick.

It has hardly been plain-sailing for this eight-year-old, who has only been seen four times on a racecourse under Rules, but he is clearly not short of ability.

The Simon Shirley-Beavantrained gelding did not look entirely straightforward here last week, but his response once Barry Keniry got serious yielded a nine-length defeat of Dannanceys Hill.

Rapidolyte De Ladalka is not a particularly quick horse, but he has bags of stamina and the right constitution to overcome an 8lb rise.

A return to a mile and a quarter can help Flying Tempo back into the winner’s enclosure at Lingfield.

Ed Dunlop’s colt found eight furlongs too sharp at at this track last time out but should be in a far happier place in the Lingfield Park Owners Group Apprentice Handicap.

The three-year-old has made decent progress on the allweather since he went handicapping, and was a particularly determined winner over this trip at Wolverhampton in January.

With the capable Ashley Morgan at the helm, Flying Tempo should still have a bit left in the tank off his new mark of 58.

Beat Route is taken to end Broxbourne’s hot run of form in the lingfieldpark.co.uk Handicap.

The latter will be all the rage for this contest over two miles after having won her last three races.

But Broxbourne is now 21lb higher than when she kicked off her winning spree, which could leave the door slightly ajar for Beat Route.

Michael Attwater’s six-year-old is just 2lb higher than when successful here last October, and shaped with plenty of promise on his first stab over two miles over this course and distance in January.

Beat Route encountered an awful amount of trouble in running to finish third, beaten just a length by the winner, and is clearly in his element over marathon trips.
