Sunderland midfielder David Meyler has teamed up with former manager Steve Bruce at Hull City after joining on loan for the rest of the year.
The 23-year-old will also rejoin Black Cats teammate Ahmed Elmohamady, who is also on loan with the Tigers, in training with the Championship club.
Meyler has struggled to make an impact on the first team stage under O'Neill since recovering from a knee injury.
He joined in 2008 from Cork City and made his first team debut under Bruce in December 2009. The Ireland international has made five appearances for Sunderland this season.
