I REFER to the miserable Norman Smith (HAS, Aug 29) about Darlington FC. He must be a very unhappy man to say such things, which clearly are not true.
He is trying to live in his miserable past and his words are very upsetting to a lot of honest hard-working supporters of Darlington Football Club.
In response, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the supporters of the club and The Northern Echo for working so hard to bring this historic team back from the dead.
Many congratulations to everyone.
