THIS is for Christopher Wardell.

My wife worked in a care home until she was made redundant.

The care home closed for refurbishment and new, skilled staff were employed.

Before the residents arrived, the staff experienced weird happenings. The lift went up and down with no one in it. Lights went on and off. The fire door opened and slammed on its own – even though it is impossible to slam the door due to its hinge.

Engineers have checked the place out and found no faults.

When my wife heard about these happenings, she said that children used to be heard laughing and running along corridors when there were no kids in the building.

Name suppled, Chester-le-Street .
