IT’S all very well the media taking steps to protect children from menaces online but society seems to turn a blind eye to the problem of violent video games.
In my opinion these games should be subjected to far more censorial scrutiny than the current ratings system.
Some countries have banned a number of violent games for fear of the impact they may have on impressionable minds. Maybe it’s time Britain followed suit?
There is enough violence in the world today without the vicarious thrills of simulated killing. The people who make a mint out of this kind of “entertainment” should be ashamed.
