I READ with interest Peter Mullen’s article regarding the secular section of society constantly marginalising the Christian religion while showing great tolerance and acceptance of other religions (Echo, Apr 18).
It must be more than coincidence that while the nation followed God’s Laws and our schools practised and taught Christian values, Britain was a great nation respected the world over.
Slowly we have eroded our Christian teachings and laws, slowly our heritage has dwindled, slowly our respect abroad has diminished, respect and compassion for one another is no longer the norm but something to be remarked upon, awards are given for actions that were once considered our Christian duty.
While we honoured God and His laws. He honoured our nation and protected us against great odds. Sadly as a nation we no longer honour God and it would seem He has removed His grace from us and we are suffering.
