AS Christopher Wardell pointed out the Government’s acute embarrassment over the recent pastygate saga I wonder if any readers have ever wondered about the following point.
There is so much hype about healthy eating and drinking. Quite rightly, publicans refuse to serve drunks but McDonald’s still serves fatties.
Being rather rotund myself I was talked into a trip to a local drivethrough fast food outlet by my young niece. She explained it was a very tasty, cheap nosh.
I agree the food didn’t cost the earth but, by the time I hired a car, £57 for a snack seemed a bit much.
