NEW farming techniques have done wonders for some farmers. I am thinking of such things as wind farms and intensive animal farming in large buildings.
Unfortunately, these new methods can create problems for people living in the vicinity, such as noise and smells on a much larger scale than a normal farm.
Farmers contemplating such changes should liaise with the local community before going ahead.
