AN article on Monday, February 27 showed young volunteers planting trees along the River Gaunless in West Auckland.
Well done the young people. In a few years time there will be an amazing difference, the young trees will soon shoot up.
But on the down side the trees and willows on the riverside at St John’s Chapel have been eaten and de-barked, by several horses.
They have also eaten a lot of the fencing.
Shouldn’t trees and bushes be protected over the coming years?
