HAVING been in teaching for 37 years, I can only despair at the idiocy of some of my fellow “professionals”.
The case of the 13-year-old boy from Blyth who was expelled from school for having a moustache, indicates a school management descending into the realms of Monty Python.
What is the problem? It couldn’t be a health and safety issue. The headteacher says the boy’s moustache is against school policy. Really?
I would be fascinated to read that.
And what were the policy makers thinking of when that particular “pearl of wisdom” was formed?
Yet again, we have a clique of alleged educators turning a serious profession into a laughing stock. I urge these people to grow up.
