NORTH Yorkshire County Council has published proposals to sell off most of the land at Richmond Lower School.
This historic site has been used by generations of school children.
It has long been a public asset and amenity and should continue to be so.
In their haste to turn this public amenity into cash, NYCC cannot even wait for Richmond Lower School to close at the end of this school year.
Nor can they even wait for the district council elections to take place, which gives the citizens of Richmondshire an opportunity to influence this decision.
I call upon everyone in Richmondshire to question their candidates in this election.
