WITH the Durham Gate project beginning soon I wonder how many people from the local area will be employed during its construction and after?
British National Party members from the local area have been campaigning over the past months for local jobs for local people.
There should be cross-party support to get local people employed on this project, which would give the local economy a boost and hopefully reverse the number of charity shops and take-aways in Spennymoor.
