IN reply to David Ward’s scathing attack on socialism (HAS, Jan 10) in which he states “Socialism has always betrayed the working class”.
He also goes on to say it gives power to a small pseudointellectual elite who pretend to govern for the people.
Surely these remarks belong to the ideology of capitalism and the Tory party where fat cats, and their finance, support a party whose sole aim is to make their kind even richer?
Socialism did not bring about the financial crisis, it was the capitalism system that led to the banking bail out.
The truth hurts doesn’t it?
